My Journey

The Old Me
The New Me!
I have never been the type to worry about my weight. I've always been average size until I decided to have children. I had my first child at 31. She was the blessing I was waiting for. While I was pregnant with her, I was happier than I have ever been in my entire life. I ate whatever I wanted, but I also ate whatever I wanted before I got pregnant. So, that really was nothing new.... The only problem was I ate in double portions, thinking it was what was best for the baby. Yeah, right! Before I knew it, I was 50 pounds heavier. OmyGod! I couldn't believe I did that to myself. Fortunately, for me....I lost the weight but I gained it back with the 2nd and then with the 3rd child! I just thought, well maybe that's my make-up. Maybe, I'm supposed to be fat and pregnant. People used to always try to put it in perspective for me by saying, "Well that's just pregnancy fat," but I say, "fat is fat". It doesn't matter what form it comes in, it's still fat. In my lifetime, I've gained 150 pounds and lost over 150 pounds because now, I'm smaller than I've ever been in my life. God is good and sometimes HE takes us through things just to make our testimony stronger, so we can make more of an impact in other people's lives. Believe that!!! I thank HIM for giving me such a task as this....to be able to encourage and motivate other people to do the unthinkable!
